KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

ROLE PURPOSE

The mission for this role is to cause revenue growth within your territory by minimising attrition and increasing selling more products to existing clients. This is achieved by regular client visits, account reviews, and ensuring that every product category possible is purchased from Allpack. This role is all about retention and growth within existing accounts, therefore enabling your territory to grow substantially with your fellow Packaging Consultant bringing on new clients. Once a new client is established, you will take hold of this account from the Packaging Consultant to ensure they are given world-class, unrivalled attention. 60% of your time will be spent on the road in front of our clients. Your success will be measured in terms of customer retention and increased spend/ product mix.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The essence of your job lies in the following key responsibilities. These are the main things you will need to excel at to ensure this role is a success.

  • Develop and execute the sales plan for your territory with help from colleagues
  • Present yourself in person to our clients in a highly professional manner
  • Build rapport and trust with all decision makers within our client base
  • Complete account reviews in line with targets
  • Obtain new opportunities arising from account reviews and f2f sales visits within existing client base
  • Proactive outbound calling to customers
  • Book/Manage your customer appointments, schedule and preparation including samples/presentations/reports
  • Carry out account admin including stock-counts
  • Produce sales reports for internal management
  • Join your fellow Packaging Consultant on joint visits as necessary
  • Complete tenders when existing clients go out to market/ price review
  • Apply necessary price increases and managing gross profit
  • Proactively resolve client issues such as slow-moving stock, account queries, lost business etc.
  • Attend regular meetings with your territory’s PC and ISE to ensure team accountability, direction & productivity
  • Achieve daily tasks and measures

KEY MEASURES 

Your performance will be measured using a range of key measures. These measures are given a wide variety of names such as objectives, scores, goals, key performance indicators, key performance activities, lag measures, and lead measures.

The purpose of measurement is to monitor and improve your performance over time. Clear measurements provide an unambiguous method of assessing your personal productivity and your contribution to the business.

 

You will have at least one key measure. In addition, any aspect of your performance and conduct may be subject to measurement from time to time. Measures for any given period will be determined by your line manager and will vary depending on your experience and progression within your role.

 

KEY ROCKS 

You may be given responsibility for one or more rocks from time to time. Rocks represent some form of improvement for the business and are defined as one-off projects with a defined completion date.
 

 

GENERAL CONDUCT

In addition to your core responsibilities, you have other responsibilities which are more general in nature, but which are an integral part of what is expected from you.

REPORTING

 You will report to the  Sales Manager.
