Sales Support Executive

 

ROLE PURPOSE

The mission for this role is to cause revenue growth within your territory by primarily supporting the Packaging Consultant winning new business. This will be approximately 75% of your time. The other 25% of your time will be spent supporting the Key Account Manager retaining and growing your teams existing customer portfolio. This is likely to be when there are time-sensitive or urgent requests from existing clients. Your success will be measured by your territories results and by peer review.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The essence of your job lies in the following key responsibilities. These are the main things you will need to excel at to ensure this role is a success.

 

  • Help develop and execute the sales plan for your territory with your team
  • Attend regular meetings with your territory’s Packaging Consultant and KAM to ensure team accountability, direction & productivity
  • Proactive outbound calling to customers & prospects, i.e. quote follow-ups
  • Book/Manage Packaging Consultant’s customer appointments, schedule and preparation inc. samples, presentations, reports
  • Action immediate post-appointment handover including quote prep, samples, next meeting etc.
  • Work with the Packaging Consultant to keep the Hubspot pipeline up to date
  • Produce sales reports for internal management
  • Assist other KAM’s & Packaging Consultant’s as necessary
  • Achieve daily tasks and measures

KEY MEASURES 

Your performance will be measured using a range of key measures. These measures are given a wide variety of names such as objectives, scores, goals, key performance indicators, key performance activities, lag measures, and lead measures.

The purpose of measurement is to monitor and improve your performance over time. Clear measurements provide an unambiguous method of assessing your personal productivity and your contribution to the business.

 

You will have at least one key measure. In addition, any aspect of your performance and conduct may be subject to measurement from time to time. Measures for any given period will be determined by your line manager and will vary depending on your experience and progression within your role.

 

KEY ROCKS 

You may be given responsibility for one or more rocks from time to time. Rocks represent some form of improvement for the business and are defined as one-off projects with a defined completion date.


 

GENERAL CONDUCT

In addition to your core responsibilities, you have other responsibilities which are more general in nature, but which are an integral part of what is expected from you.

REPORTING

 You will report to the  Sales Manager.
