How it Works:
- Box Format and Filling Level Assessment: The system accurately determines the dimensions and contents of the box.
- Corner Cutting: Oscillating blades precisely cut the box corners to the optimal height.
- Sealing: The box is securely sealed with either water-activated tape (WAT) or hot glue, ensuring a tamper-proof and environmentally friendly closure.

1. Conveyor - Transportation
A conveyor transports and separates the arriving boxes ensuring a continuous workflow. The PAKlink®-3DS System can be easily integrated to already existing conveyance systems.
2. 3DS System - Volume Detection
The three-dimensional scanning technology senses the void volume of each box as it passes through the scanner. Without stopping PAKlink® immediately calculates the ideal amount of protective packaging material. Up to 20 different box sizes can be set up simultaneously making the solution ideal for varying products. This enables non interrupted workflows without waiting times and thus increases productivity.
3. Dispensing of Protective Packaging
As soon as the box exits the scanner, the protective packaging machine dispenses the calculated amount of protective packaging. The packer no longer needs to reach for material several times or focus on choosing the right amount of product. As the void fill material can be flexibly chosen the PAKlink®-3DS System is suitable for several types of industries.
